Pharmacy student knowledge level regarding the beyond-use date

Background: In daily practice, misunderstandings often arise regarding the expiration date after opening package of a drug. Beyond Use Date (BUD) is time limit for using drug it has been formulated or prepared primary packaging opened damaged. Students need to understand BUD because related stability and quality preparations. Without proper knowledge BUD, provision information patients may be misleading lead unsafe use Objective: This study aims determine level pharmacy students about beyond drugs. Methods: A descriptive survey used in this observational cross-sectional study. The data collection was conducted June 2022 at Pharmacy Study Programme, Faculty Health Sciences, University Muhammadiyah Mataram, Indonesia with total sample 163 students. Results: found that 42.9% (n:70) have ‘good’ category while 53.9% (n: 88) an ‘enough’ 3.1% (n:5) ‘less' knowledge. 11.1% (n:18) said did not use, ED were same. Conclusion: average sampled university Drugs sufficient category.
